Buying a Property in Germany Procedure
- Select a Property of your choice.
- Negotiate/agree a price with the seller.
- Arrange/obtain a survey,if necassary.
- With the help of the estate agent a Solicitor/Public Notary will draw up a bilingual contract and will
also do all the searches with regard to transferring the title deeds.
- An appointment will be made with the Solicitor for both parties to attend, the buyer and seller,to sign the
contract.
- At this meeting either party can raise questions/concerns with regard to the contract,which can be redrawn.
- The Solicitor/Public Notary is obliged, by law, to ensure that the contract is legal
and fair to both parties.
- All monies must be paid now.
- The buyer is now the new legal owner of the property.
